Saturday - April 8 - 63 mile loop
A Seattle
Bicycle Club & Cascade Bicycle Club joint ride recommended by NPOC
Ride Start: Arlington Food Pavilion off Hwy 9 on Burke (just as you get into Arlington)

Meet at: 8:00 a.m.
Start at: 8:30 a.m. (staggered starts) (some groups may not leave until 9 a.m.)

Directions to Start: Take Exit 208 off I 5 and follow the feeder road to SR 530. Follow SR 530 east for about 4 miles to Hwy 9. Turn left at the light on Hwy 9 and then make the first right on Burke. Arrive at Food Pavilion. Park on street - not in grocery store parking lot.

Guided Pace 1: Social to moderate (12-15 mph) - must be able to maintain that pace for 63 miles (otherwise consider doing shorter loop). Guides: Jim Shedd, Amy Carlson, Sherry Johnson, and Molly Johnson and Bob Nyberg.

Guided Pace 2: Moderate to brisk (14-18 mph)
Guides: Laurie Rechholtz, Byron Bryant, Mike Kelly, Tom Tanner, Lloyd Warms, Rob Brown, Jim Peleaz, Martha Hines, Dan Garretson, and Monica Zaborac.

Guided Pace 3: Fast (16-20 mph)
Guides: Johnna Hobgood, Bob Arima, Louise Kornreich, Lee Derror; Ron Lindsay, Art Lewy, Richard Petters, Howard Strickler, and Albert Meerscheidt, Charley Roosen and Stacy Van Norman.
Tandems: Guides: Ron Tazuma and Lyly Fisher.

Guided Pace 4: Strenuous (18+mph)
Guide: Jean-Philippe Soule and Shan Perera.
We can use more volunteers. Contact Gary Strauss.

Self Pace 5: At whatever pace you or your friends want to ride - this is for those who don't like riding in a group
or feel they need a guide.
All paces will slow down in spots - particularly in the Tulip Fields.

Regroup: Ride group leaders together with riders decide on stops, breaks, meals, etc.

Distance: About 63 miles

Hills: Yes, there are some - one fairly steep grade. If you don't want to
do hills, consider the shorter flat loop that starts from Mt. Vernon at 10:15
a.m.

Overall Ride Leader: Gary Strauss - prefer email contact at gstrauss@gsblaw.com (day of ride cell 206-948-9024; work 206-816-1300; home 206-937-1852).
