Meet the Team

Native Planet Outdoor Club is a newly formed cycling club located in the Puget
Sound area. Our club has two missions: to promote fitness and recreation for its
members and to raise awareness and funds for
Native Planet, a
separate charitable organization. Our mission makes us unique as few, if any,
Seattle area clubs are directly linked to a charitable organization.
Racing Team

A development racing team, i.e., Cat 4 & 5, we race to promote the club’s mission and to compete in an inclusive and friendly manner. Although we believe that races should be won, we do not stand for winning at any cost. We believe in team tactics but do not believe that beginning cyclists have less value than strong, experienced riders. We stress disciplined training but not at the price of our members’ well being. Simply put, we place a premium on positive training and having fun.
Team Benefits:

As we raise funds for our team, we will endeavor to assist team members in the
purchase of their race jerseys, shorts and other necessary race team uniforms
through a modest discount. We will also strive to offer a coaching plan for team
training. If funds are available, we will cover race fees for cyclists who
commit to five weekend road races or non-series track races. We also endeavor to
offer assistance to members who are unwilling or unable to compete due to
limited financial resources.
