PROS (Perimeter Ride Of Seattle) 2005 On September 5th 2005, the Seattle Bicycling Club was proud to present the first annual Perimeter Ride Of Seattle (PROS) to benefit Native Planet and traditional indigenous people. Eighty miles and 4400+ feet of elevation gain provided cyclists with an opportunity to experience Seattle’s natural beauty from a unique perspective: a tour around its city limits. It was a hilly and challenging ride filled with breathtaking view — mountains, the Sound, lakes and a multitude of parks. Ride PROS 4 a Reason The first annual PROS was a great success. Cyclists were invited to make donations and/or to purchase/wear the eye-catching Native Planet jersey to promote the not-for-profit organization and raise the awareness about traditional indigenous cultures. 140+ cyclists participated in this event and more than 50 proudly wore the Native Planet colors. The feedback from participants was outstanding. PROS 2005 Photo Gallery -- photos by Yumi Soule "The inaugural PROS ride in Seattle was a spectacular beginning for what I hope will be an annual Labor Day ride for all. To experience Seattle by bike is not to be missed as it is truly a jewel. We loved the unique neighborhoods, water views & and oh so many hills" -- Scarlet Quotes from other participants Join Us Next Time!
