NPOC Monday Greenlake Social Ride About this Ride: This ride is designed for entry-level cyclists, cyclists slowly getting back on their bikes after winter or some injuries and those avid cyclists who want to spin lightly with a great group of people to remove all the lactic acid from challenging weekend rides When: Mondays Start Location: Greenlake, Seattle Start Time: 6 PM Pace: 12-14 mph. The pace will vary depending on the group. This ride is welcoming entry-level cyclists. However you should be sufficiently fit to ride for a few miles on the flat at a minimum of 12 mph, and be able to climb one fairly long but very gradual hill (on our return to Greenlake). Duration and Distance: 1hr to 1hr 1/2 depending on the size and level of the group 10 miles for the base loop, 14 miles with the optional loop around Greenlake at the end. Difficulty: Easy The loop starts with a downhill, and take sections of bike path before returning to Greenlake over a gradual hill (Stone way) with a bike lane. Equipment: Both Front and Tail Flashing lights are required. Although we should be back before complete darkness. We ride in the city and want to be highly visible to traffic.
